How does Pearson Global WELL supported by Unmind differ from the EAP?
The EAP provides access to various services aimed at improving personal wellbeing and addressing work-related issues. The EAP, available to Pearson employees and their household members, is designed to help employees with short-term challenges such as stress, legal issues, financial counseling, child and elder care concerns, and crisis situations (such as death of a colleague or natural disaster). Pearson Global WELL supported by Unmind, available just to Pearson employees, is focused on therapy or coaching for longer-term mental health support. Pearson Global WELL supported by Unmind also provides a variety of resources to help you understand and improve your mental health and wellbeing. Regardless of which program you use, you can rest assured that both are free to you and completely confidential.
Through the EAP you, and family members who live with you, have access to unlimited phone counseling and up to five face-to-face or video-based counseling sessions per issue per year.
Suicide & Crisis Hotline
The EAP is completely confidential. If you or someone you know is in immediate crisis, call 911 or the Suicide & Crisis hotline at 988 [toll-free, 1-800-273-TALK (8255)] or you can Text HOME to 741741 to access free and confidential support 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
If you are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, grief, domestic violence, substance use disorder or relationship issues, Cigna’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is ready to help.
