Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
What is Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)?
AD&D provides a benefit if you die or are dismembered as the result of an accident.
The company provides basic AD&D insurance equal to two times your annual pay, up to a maximum benefit of $1,000,000. Partial benefits may be paid if you suffer certain losses as the result of an accident (for example, loss of sight or limb). Part-time regular and Limited Term employees receive coverage of one times annual pay.
Want Additional Coverage?
If you decide you need more than the basic amount of AD&D insurance, you can purchase additional coverage for yourself and/or your family:
- Coverage in $10,000 increments up to a maximum of 10 times your annual pay or $500,000, whichever is less.
For your family:
- 60% of the employee amount for your spouse (if there are no children insured)
- 50% of the employee amount for your spouse and 10% for each child (maximum benefit of $30,000 for each child)
- 15% for each child (if there is no spouse insured). The maximum benefit is $30,000 for each child.
